Investor Visa

As per the Indonesian President Regulation #20, year of 2018, for the director or commissary whose names mentioned in the notary deed of company establishment and also as share holders in the company, then the RPTK and working permit are not required.

Step 1: BKPM recommendation, it takes 5 - 7 working days to process
First of all for the new applicant for investor visa, the recommendation letter issued by Investment Coordinating Board so called BKPM (Badan Koordinasi Penanam Modal) should be applied, and should get the approval. The requirements for recommendation letter for investor visa issued by BKPM are:
  1. Minimum total intended investment of the company is IDR. 10 billion
  2. Paid up capital and equity for minimum IDR. 2.5 billion

Step 2: Apply index 313/314 E-Visa, it takes 6 - 8 working days to process (normal process). Or 1- 2 working days (express)
The index 313/314 E-Visa can be applied directly at the Directorate General Immigration by using on line application. The required documents are colour scan of:
  1. The notary deed of company establishment and approval from the Ministry of Justice Department
  2. Recommendation letter for investor visa issued by BKPM
  3. Current company domicile permit
  4. NPWP / company tax ID
  5. NIB & izin usaha (company license)
  6. Passport of the company's director
  7. Company organization chart
  8. Manpower bbligation report (Wajib Lapor Ketenagakerjaan UU #7, 1981)

Step 3: Issuance of the E-ITAS & MERP at the local immigration office
Upon the issuance of the visa index 313/314 from the appointed Indonesian Embassy, within 90 days the applicant should enter Indonesia using the visa index 313/314.
Within 30 days of arrival in Indonesia the applicant must report to the local immigration office with bring:
  1. Original passport.
  2. Original domicile letter from hotel / apartment / chief neighborhood (RT/RW).
The presence of the applicant is required at the local immigration office for on line photo taken & finger printing.
And E-ITAS (temporary residence permit) and MERP (Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit) will be issued at the local immigration office.

Step 4: STM and SKTT applications, it takes 2 working days for STM application and 15 working days for SKTT
After the E-itas is issued, then here are other permits that should be applied:
  1. STM / Surat Tanda Melapor (Resort Police Report) issued by Resort Police Department.
  2. SKTT (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal) or so called “Green Card” issued by Civil Department.

Step 5: Existence report, it takes 4 working days
Laporan Keberadaan TKA (existence report) issued by local Manpower Department
